What are chafer grubs and how do you recognise them?Updated 3 months ago

Chafer grubs are the larvae of several beetle species, such as the cockchafer and rose chafer. They are white, have a C-shaped curved body, a brown head, and grow up to 3 cm long.

Chafer grubs feed on the roots of plants and grass, which can lead to brown, loose and bare patches in your lawn. If you lift the grass and see white larvae, you are probably suffering from chafer grubs.
