What are fungus gnats and where do they come from?Updated 3 months ago
Fungus gnats are small, black flies often seen around houseplants. They lay their eggs in moist potting soil, where the larvae feed on organic matter and sometimes the roots of your plant. As a result, they can cause damage to your plants.
Fungus gnats usually come along via new plants or contaminated potting soil. Prevent an infestation by not watering too often and always use clean potting soil when repotting. Already suffering from mourning flies? Our Heroes can help you control them effectively!
